A Call for Rest
She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly daily, mostly unedited) writing practice
Jotting from my journal. Day #225 of (mostly unedited, mostly daily) writing/sharing.
Note: (I will now be posting MY (MOSTLY) DAILY WRITING on weekdays only, rather than 7 days/week
A Call for Rest
The rains have returned, the days growing shorter and shorter. Evenings on the couch, coziest socks, softest blankets— kitties on laps, wool sweaters, fleece, campfires in the backyard with friends, good books and more good books. Red maple in the front yard beaming its glory. Lit candles, of course. And fairy lights. Deeper prayers. The kettle is whistling, can you hear it? Earlier and earlier to bed. It’s time to give sadness some space. And longing too. Time to let go. Time to rest. Do you feel it too?
