Day #82 of daily (mostly unedited) writing/sharing
If you cannot bear this world a moment longer, child, make another. —Madeline Miller
A New World
Maybe, in these dark dark times, when there is a spotlight on the greedy, the ugly, the unbearably cruel, when the cracks in the foundation are disturbingly exposed, we are being called to tear down the old smallness so we can build it new, made with things that only know how to open, to soften, to take care, to include. Maybe we are being called to rebuild with collective kindness so strong a new way will reign, ring, sing— a new world where we lift one another from the unbearable and make something unquestionably, undeniably, foundationally, life-savingly true.
I’ve collected a list of my very favorite books on writing/creativity, poetry books & favorite poets. I would love to hear your favorites! Click on the below link to access. I will be continually adding to this list…
SPECIAL NOTE: I am super excited to share that I am currently working on my third book of poetry!
I would absolutely love to have a space where I can retreat for a while to give this book my full attention. If you happen to know of a writer in residence program or know of an available, peaceful retreat space, please let me know. xo
Join me for Sunday Spark!
I absolutely love sharing my poetry with mindfulness/writing communities (or at mindfulness retreats). If you are part of such a community & would like me to be a guest poet, please reach out (by simply responding to this email). Or, if you are reading on my Substack page, you can email me at: writeyourselffree@gmail.com
Signed copies of my book Staying in Love (which includes 99 mindfulness poems) are available at the following link.
