She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly unedited) daily writing practice
Jotting from my Journal. Day #192 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing
After the Scary Things
I fell back into the lap of late summer and let the hammock hold me, let myself be swayed by the sultry breeze, serenaded by the saintly trees, prayed for those with hungry bellies, broken hearts, ancient wounds, begged the sky to show me how how how to meet it all. Then, I noticed the little red squirrel lick herself clean, leap from one mossy limb to another, wrap her tiny arms around the branch of the fir and rest. Rest. And, just like that— the answer.

I adore this poem.
"begged the sky to show me
how how how
to meet it all. "
Oh gosh, I feel this. And then that closing image of the squirrel. This poem brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Julia.
Day ? Morning Writes, excerpt:
Hi Julia! I missed writing yesterday - oops! I've missed a few days...and you know what? I'm still worthy! I'm still good! You're smiling now (I think), because you understand.
I'm going to Belfast tomorrow morning!
