Enoughness
She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly unedited) daily writing practice
Day #176 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing
Enoughness
In my dream, I wrap the whole world in softness, make a pot of homemade soup big enough to feed every hungry mouth, homemade bread too, with butter spread end to end, tea with extra honey, or just the right amount, a table big enough to reach from one side of the globe to the other—elbow to elbow, side by side, bellies fill, faces curve into smiles, faces so close there is no space for hate—everyone a brother, sister, daughter, son, mother, father. After every belly is full, there are enough pillows, blankets, beds for each tired head. Love tucks everyone safely in, kisses each forehead, sings the sweetest lullaby. And the whole world rests, rests, rests.

Day 21, Jill's Morning (late afternoon!) write, excerpt:
It doesn't matter how. It doesn't matter how and it probably doesn't even matter where. That's the thing. There is no right way to do this thing. Why are we so caught up in the "right" way? In the way our parents modeled, or perhaps talked a lot about and maybe didn't model?
Julia, from your pen to heaven's ears, to heaven's heart. Yes. A beautiful vision of the kin-dom, as many folks call it.
