Hold Out Your Hand
A poem & an invitation to breathe
As a little gift to you, I am sharing a part of week one of my self-paced, online program B R E A T H E…
BREATHE IN
Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure. —Oprah Winfrey
I invite you to carve out some time and space to get quiet - to take a few deep breaths. Let your belly be soft, let your heart begin to open wide. Once you've arrived here, very slowly and mindfully, read today's poem.
It's a brand new day, a brand new moment - let yourself be washed clean and new.
HOLD OUT YOUR HAND Let's forget the world for a while fall back and back into the hush and holy of now are you listening? This breath invites you to write the first word of your new story your new story begins with this: You matter you are needed - empty and naked willing to say yes and yes and yes. Do you see the sun shines, day after day whether you have faith or not the sparrows continue to sing their song even when you forget to sing yours stop asking: Am I good enough? Ask only: Am I showing up with love?
Invitation
Each time you look in the mirror today, this week (and beyond), lean in close and closer and say something loving, something kind, to yourself. Stay there looking until you feel yourself filling full, until you really begin to SEE your beloved self. Until you begin to see the astonishing light of your own being. You don't need to wait to be seen, you can see YOU. You can SEE you. This is such a powerful, powerful practice and only needs to take a few, sweet seconds.
In Brené Brown's words: You are worthy now, not if, not when, we're worthy of love and belonging now. Right this minute. As is. Imagine the holy that could come if your focus shifts from not enough to love. Here's to loving yourself like crazy (because you are so, so worthy of love). Have a beautiful, love-filled week.
