She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly daily, mostly unedited) writing practice
NOTE: I am heading out on a mini-retreat so I will not be posting here on 11/13 & 11/14. See you back here next week!
Jotting from my journal. Day #231 of (mostly unedited, mostly daily) writing/sharing.
Impermanence
Everything reminds me of how brief it all is, the lifeless fly on the window sill, the soon to be leafless maple in the front yard, the abnormal results, his scary moment on the airplane when the words would not come, the waiting. Her deepening wrinkles, these creaky knees, the neighbor who planted Marigolds last spring, now on hospice. The news, the news, the news. The line is so thin between here and gone. And, I am here today. Pen in hand, cat purring on my lap, the candle dancing with light beside me, the rising sun, the first sip of coffee, the smile on his face. This inhale, this exhale, another new day. The Marigolds bloom on.

Playing catch-up. Dunno why I missed a whole week! But I'm here, and much liking what I'm reading.
