She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly unedited) daily writing practice
Jotting from my journal. Day #155 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing
Like the Ocean
I used to think I needed to make myself bigger to hold it all—the beautiful and the brutal, the everything in between— I thought I needed to keep up with the relentlessly fast pace of this rapid-fire world— one moment with the morning breeze, all of me at ease and then, the headline that brings me to my knees. Now I see that I can meet it, whatever it is, say hello, bow even, but I do not need to carry the heavy— I can let the wave come, let it go, let it come, let it go.

This is beautiful, Julia. It actually made me think of Andrea Gibson's words: "“I know most people try hard to do good and find out too late they should have tried softer.”
