Just re-read this piece of yours. "...back when walks on my own were safer than my home." So heartbreaking.

Putting Day 17 here as well.

Day 17, Jill's Morning writes, excerpt:

Feeling nervous about the march today. National March for Palestine. Can't say why exactly, except for big crowds, the possibility of violence, big anger, my challenge with big anger feelings. But I am not starving. I have house and home, safety and security. I must do something.

Jill, your words just gave me goosebumps. “I must do something.” God, do I feel this too. I wonder how the march was for you. Sending so much love your way. xo

Bowing both to the difficult truth of this poem, and to its proffered consolation, gladly received.

Day 16, Jill's Morning write, excerpt:

Days are funny. They just keep coming. No matter how I felt the day before - confused, entertained, sassy, goofy, gobstopped - there's always another day that arrives. If I were a good girl (fascinating phrase), I would appreciate that the days keep coming. But at the moment I'm not a very good girl, and I often find myself tired at the prospect of a new day.

Thank you for your honesty here, Jill. And wow, 17 days of showing up here! I am celebrating this bigness!
