Message From This New Day
A poem for you & dates for our next guest writer conversation & "Write Yourself Free" class
Message from a New Day
Wake up! it's a new day. Wake up! don't miss the orange-winged butterfly that, just months ago, was a squirmy, wingless thing. And now, look how effortlessly she flies. Wake up! and notice the good honeybee resting inside the red dahlia, the dancing daisy, the soft petal of the dogwood. Wake up and see the sorrow hidden in the creases of her tired face, in the hard of his clenched jaw, in their busy busy busyness. Have you noticed how the sun continues to bring life to every thing, how the maple leaf lets go all on its own, how your lungs know just how to breathe? Wake up, my love, time is running running running. Stand still— life lives right here.
