She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly unedited) daily writing practice
Jotting from my Journal. Day #184 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing
Mind Noise
It's complicated, everything is terrible, tangled, too much. Doomed. There is not enough, you are not enough. What's wrong with you? Do more, go faster, split yourself into a million pieces, please everyone, prove that you belong here. Be careful, don't embarrass yourself, show them how smart you are, don't get too big for your britches. Stay safe, stay small, stay quiet. Be careful, you could get lost. So much can go wrong. Run, numb, don't forget to put on the invisibility cloak, Stay safe. Stay small. Stay quiet. And then, a pause— some space between thoughts when there is just this, just what is — lit candle, sunlight resting in the maple, the beginning of a new day. It's simple, says the morning breeze, let it be what it is. Breathe love in. Breathe love out. Peace, love, joy, wonder cannot find you if you are not here. Come here. Do the next kind thing.

Day 28, Jill's writes, excerpt:
A year later he is divorced. He lives in London. He sleeps in your bed. You've never been loved like this. It is terrifying to bear his beams of love. Before him you are naked, no matter the many layers of clothing. You are naked, you are vulnerable. Forty-one years after that first kiss, he is still beautiful.
"...cannot find you
if you are not here"
So good. SO true! Thank you.
