This is Jim, my dear friend Susan’s 94-year-old dad, aka: One of my earth angels.
That book in his hand is my new book This Too: Words To Walk You Home. The stack of books on the table are books that he bought to gift to friends and family.
Jim bought more copies of my previous book Staying in Love than just about anyone, sharing poems in his men’s groups, gifting books to loved ones.
Susan shared that as soon as her dad received my new book, he sat down and read it cover to cover.
To say that I am honored doesn’t even come close. My heart can hardly handle the beauty of this & I just had to pass that beauty on to you.

More Like the Sun
I would like to walk into every room asking, not— will I be seen, will I be loved? Not, how do I look, will I measure up? But, rather, how deeply can I see, how fully can I love? How can I let the light shine through— be more like the sun?
