Sweet Relief
This morning, rather than reaching reaching reaching for the device, rushing to do, to un-do— rather than trying to make sense of the senseless, tidying up the mess, water what is parched, fill what seems to be empty—I simply sit. Lift closed eyes to the cloudless July sky. Sit some more. Notice the tickle of breeze on bare skin, notice what it feels like to notice without reaching for, or trying to get rid of a single thing. Yes, even the worry, the sorrow, the deep, deep longing get to stay. It all gets to stay, to be just as it is.

This resonates so deeply. I find myself needing to do the same, and often. 🫶🏻
