The Ache
She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly daily, mostly unedited) writing practice
Jotting from my Journal. Day #207 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing.
Note: (I will now be posting MY (MOSTLY) DAILY WRITING only on weekdays, rather than 7 days/week)
The Ache
I wonder if this ache in my chest, this tightness in my belly will always be here, and, if so, can I meet it with an ocean of love, an ocean of tenderness? What if I see that the ache is a knock on the door of my heart, a nudge that says, I am here. I hurt. Please, pay attention. Am I willing to pay attention— to listen, to really listen?

"What if I see that the ache
is a knock on the door of my heart,
a nudge that says,
I am here.
I hurt. Please,
pay attention."
This passage brought tears to my eyes. It made me want to meet every ache with that "ocean of love," that "ocean of tenderness," you imagine. Thank you for this, Julia.
