We Are So Often Wrong

about ourselves, 
each other, 

stories told, 
assumptions made, 

blind to the beauty 
just below the surface, 

swept away in the rapids, 
swimming upstream, when perhaps 

we only need to stop 
the struggle and let ourselves 

float.
