She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly daily, mostly unedited) writing practice. Day #217
Writing & Love
Sometimes writing looks like skipping breakfast, crossing every last thing off the very important list, and lighting a candle that smells like vanilla and pumpkin, like watching steam rise from the mug of turmeric tea, like sketching a tree in your notebook with your favorite purple pen. Sometimes writing looks like a slow, gentle walk in the forest while the leaves fall and fall, dog running ahead— like standing in the middle of the trail and feeling, really feeling, your own hereness—wind in hair, breath after breath of sunshine. And sorrow too. Like staring into the gentle of doe's brown eyes for so long that you know being here is the very most important thing, that hereness is the only thing that belongs on the very important list. Sometimes, right here, in the midst of leaves and trees, wind and sunshine, and sorrow too, these words arrive, and you let them fall and fall. Sometimes writing looks so much like love, you can’t tell one from the other.

Thank you dear one! Love this whole piece. Balm to the spirit!
Daily Writes, excerpt: Sometimes writing looks like stitching, like looking for beauty, for inspiration anywhere, everywhere. Sometimes it looks like riding a bike, blowing your nose, spilling out lots of words to get to the ones that count.
Perfect timing oh great wonderful one! I’ll read this in 17 minutes after guiding my Wednesday morning group in meditation. Thank you!!!!!
