A Circle of Sisters
We gather around the virtual table, women
from all over the planet, bodies miles
away, souls sacredly synced.
There is no heady conversation,
no talking over, no one-upping,
no pretending—
all clumsiness is invited,
allowed—poured.
We steep ourselves in quiet first,
breathing these hearts awake, forgetting
the world for a while,
letting pens lead us
where they most
need to go—
no good, no bad, no feedback,
no criticism, no grades, no red pens,
no way to do it wrong—
simply a circle of sisters writing
what is true and true and true, listening
with the ear of the heart—
until
the false fades. To read more of these writings & to join me in this powerful daily practice, please click on the below link.

"We steep ourselves in quiet first." Oh my goodness, the softness, the tenderness of these words. Julia, this whole poem is such a beautiful depiction of creating community, and how that community provides a soft place to land.
Julia, I'm catching your joy here by happy contagion! So glad you have such a space.
