A Silent Ballet
I don’t know how to write a poem, but I know how to sit on my front porch, bend my head in prayer and listen for whispered words, then to pause in reverence when they arrive. I am certain of so little, really— I only know how to string song and sorrow to make this something that might reach you. First there was blank, a silent ballet, now there is this.
