Day 14 Jill's Morning Write, excerpt:

So it turns out I suck at making space for joy.

At least I had the Monday writing circle - a new session with three women who live in London - one raised in China, one in Zimbabwe and one in Ireland - and three Oregonians. There was some anxiety about beginning something new, but by the end of the 90 minutes there was laughter and tears, along with openness, honesty, vulnerability and gratitude. The world grew a little smaller. Blessed be.

How lovely this sounds, @Jillean Johnson . A gathering of women. Perfect.

This poem feels so tangible. I love this line in particular: "Bellies full of sea, summer all over/our skin."
