Dogs. Because Everything Else Feels Too Hard.
She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly unedited) daily writing practice
Day #141 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing
Dogs. Because Everything Else Feels Too Hard.
Is there anything like a dog?
Mine in the backyard grass chasing
chasing chasing her tail, tossing
her bone to herself, then
tucking her cute butt
and running running running
to nowhere and everywhere—
delight with four legs,
delight that greets me, always,
with all-over kisses, whole-body enthusiasm,
even when I've only left the room
for a few minutes, even when I'm extra cranky,
even when the world is falling apart—
no conditions, no strings attached.
What a better world it would be
if we modeled our lives after theirs. To read more of these writings & to join me in this powerful daily practice, please click on the below link.
