I Do

Before the sun rises, before the darkness
lifts, before everything is okay, I reach
for his hand and he reaches back. 
Two people reaching through the dark 
for one other, two people saying yes
to the I don't knows. Yes, we will continue 
to say I do—even though it's scary, 
even though it's hard. Even though 
there are no guarantees. Even though 
there is still so much to learn 
about love.
