Such precious observations. No surprise to find a gratitude theme here today, but you and I were traveling similar paths with how we chose to express it. Reassuring. Hope the holiday is everything you need it to be.
Perfect poem. So glad the scare was just a scare, and you will have healthy loved ones at your full table this Thanksgiving. ❤️ And speaking of birds, I just registered for the San Diego Bird festival, it’s the week of my birthday in February, just like last year. On my actual birthday (the 26th) I’ll be at a Hawk center, about 90 minutes away, for a 2 hour educational Hawk experience, culminating in having them launch and land on my arm. Right now I’m listening to birdsong in my courtyard in the waning light. Wrentit, Bushtit, Sparrow, Finch, Ana Hummingbird, Crows, and other friends. The Carob trees above my head are packed with bees 🐝 so there’s a humming. It doesn’t get better than this. Thank Goodness for all of it. I’m so grateful to have you in my life. It’s a blessing. You, and the community you created, are a blessing.
