Lost Again
She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly unedited) daily writing practice
Day #129 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing
Lost Again
Sometimes getting lost looks like flying full speed on your bicycle down down down, as though you have wings, breathing in the scent of campfire smoke, grilling hotdogs, sagebrush and freedom— the downhill is so blissfully enjoyable until you realize you have to go back up up up to be on the path toward home. Eventually, the lake appears again, and you wind your way back to where you started (with a little help from the kind lady on the trail). It wouldn't be a proper solo trip without getting lost at least once— sweat-soaked and wind whipped, grateful for the flight, grateful to be found.
