My Favorite Creations

Yesterday, one daughter 
sent me a video of her doing a perfect 
headstand with the caption: I love 
doing yoga. I feel very much like myself doing it. 

Shortly after, the other daughter called to share
about her cross country ski day with a friend—
with great enthusiasm, she said: I wouldn't change 
a single thing about my day, Mom. 

Two young women who know 
what it feels like to be at home inside 
themselves. Is there anything 
more beautiful?

I walked through the rest of the evening
feeling like I had swallowed 
the sun—beaming, beaming, 
beaming.
