Rainy day in Quincy, walk by the Feather River with my people, everyone safe and tucked into their own skin— warblers and sparrows keep us company as our feet meet the pine-needed ground. Later, hot chai tea in a quirky café, afternoon of fresh mountain air, birdsong, togetherness. Poetry.
