Ripples
She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly unedited) daily writing practice
Jotting from my journal: Day #116 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing
Ripples
The plane trip, the coughing people, the virus he carried home, the virus he then passed to me, the sore throat that became a cough, became an eye infection, became fluid in the ear. Became a dizzying kind of exhaustion. Vacation plans canceled, an 80th birthday party missed (how many will there be?). And these are just a handful of ripples I can see, there are countless others unseen, ripples reaching and reaching, all of it connected, countless ripples that have nothing and everything to do with you, with me.

Oh, Julia, so sorry both for your illnesses & for the missed birthday party. Bowing to your light, embracing your words, celebrating your resilience, and blessing you for the ways you bless us.
