The Path to True Love
Walk the path to true love.
This is the message written
with sidewalk chalk as I stroll
on the path by the river
in my little town, sun on my face,
the scent of Wisteria and homemade
waffle cones in the air. It is the end
of April, the end of another day,
a day filled with lists and longing,
possibility and poetry, a day
when I send prayers into the wind
that I may walk this true-love path.
