Day #136 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing
The Web
Hello, stranger by the elevator whose smile enters my bloodstream, makes me feel seen. Hello, man in the city street who pierces my sleep with your scream, I wish you felt seen. Hello, old voices that repeat and repeat the same unhelpful things, I will listen to what you most need, will sing you a lullaby, but then, little ones, you must rest in the backseat. Hello, hidden words, words hidden beneath the beneath, come out of hiding, please— don't go back to sleep.
