Today’s Poetry
looks like dipping my paintbrush into every color of the rainbow, every other color too, letting each shade speak to me in its own language, looks like walking to the lake just in time to see the couple get married under this evening's moody sky. After a morning and afternoon of hail and rain and a wild mix of just about every other kind of weather, the sun peeked through just in time for the ceremony by the shore. A mix of wild weather— a metaphor for marriage, for life too. I wonder if the bride and groom noticed the angels in this evening's clouds. Today's poetry looks like a belly full of loneliness and love and worry worry worry over the warring world. Like packing my bags for the long drive back home. Home— a whole new poem waits for me when I arrive at my own front door.
