Thank you, Julia. Together, we rise. And you, with your deep, tender, heart-led emotions, are permitted to refill a bit before you continue moving forward.
Thank you Julia for your bravery, courage, and vulnerability coming out behind your veil and sharing your truths. I hear you and I see you. This truth telling is how it all starts; connection, oneness. Sharing one of my truths. The truth behind the words, feelings and thoughts that have been shuttered for most of my life. I am now discovering my verbal truths to speak my mind and to have a voice despite the criticism and judgement of others. Oh what freedom. Words have so much weight, power, and wisdom when spoken. So here's to more voices coming together for TRUTH and all the extra condiments on the side. Thank you for continuing to show up on this space and lead by example. Brava dear Julia!
@Lauren Liebowitz , how deeply I appreciate these words from you. “Oh what freedom…” yes, I very much feel this too. I am so happy to hear you are finding the freedom to speak. Thank you so much for reaching out.
Oh Julia, I felt these truths down to my bones. Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share them, my friend. And this poem!
"To think that
life creates this kind of beauty each day,
and how often we miss it—to be grateful
that today I was all the way here."
This resonates deeply. We miss so much of it. I want more moments where I am "all the way here." What beautiful words. Julia, your poetry is heart-medicine in this world. Thank you. Hand over my heart, thank you.
most days lately i would just prefer to pick up my broom and sweep, sweep the porch, sweep the walk, sweep the dirt, just sweep. It's funny I just noticed the word weep is inside sweep
Thank you from my heart to yours. I have been trying and trying to find words to express how I feel - the deep loss, the fear, the lonliness, not feeling good enough - the list goes on and on. You nailed it for me. You just saved a small part of my spirit. Be safe, be well and know I am beyond grateful for your words - they show me to myself.
“You just saved a small part of my spirit. Be safe, be well and know I am beyond grateful for your words - they show me to myself.” I can’t imagine wanting anything more than for my writing that this…I am humbled and deeply grateful that my words resonated with you, dear @Harriette Manis . Thank you (so so much) for taking the time to connect. It means the world to me. xo
I always appreciate and am unduly committed to leaning into the heaviness, the despair, the joy, the anger, the restlessness …..whatever strikes me as some random feeling of pleasure or displeasure - the act of writing, giving space and mindful attention to the no hierarchy rule of a feeling body - I smile knowing you leaned into feeling heavy ….. 🙏
I am with you on the journey. Thank you for your words - a place I am very familiar with but not there at this moment in time for which I am grateful.
Creating, as you’re doing with your writing is, I believe, a healer and contributes positive energy into our dark world where we need to shine our light and our joy even in sorrow. Sending loving energy and blessings for your time away.
Difficult times Julia. You’ve captured the feelings so well with your words. And your poem. The heaviness is in the air, for those who still have their souls intact. We are feeling it deeply as a collective humanity. Joy is a form of resistance. And our words hold us now. Thank you for this. I’m walking right beside you.
Reaching my hand out to yours, @Alegria de Rose. “for those who still have their souls intact” - so beautifully put. “Our words hold us now,” yes, absolutely. I send you so much love as we walk through this together.
Thank you, Julia. This mirrors what I’ve been experiencing lately. And I was just talking to a friend about it. This felt like it came at exactly the right time.
Dear Annette, thank you so much for reading & taking the time to connect here. These connections matter so much. It’s very comforting to know that we are not alone in all of the madness (and the joy and beauty too)! I am happy to know my words found you at the right time for you. I send you an abundance of love. xo
