Strange times indeed. Thank you so much for reading my words & for leaving yours here for me, Ellen. I send you so much love in the midst of the madness.
Gaye, thank you. It comforts me so to feel you on the other side of this screen...to know that you are out there walking through this wild life feeling it all with me. I feel your heart so deeply.
Sending you love, Rebecca. Thankfully, there are so many good, good people in this world. I take so much comfort in this knowing. Thank you for taking the time to read my words. xo
Thank you so much for these words, for the deep humanity in them, for the gratitude and the grief that intermngle here, for all the questioning and disbelief and sorrow, and yet for the affirmation of what can and must save us. I so resonate with these words.
Ethel, thank you. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my words and for the thoughtfulness & love in your response. I am deeply touched. I send you a whole ton of love. Let's keep reaching our hands out to each other. xo
Julia - I don't understand either. Our inner child gets this. There are a lot of really broken people running the world. Thank you for writing and sharing this, I resonate with it completely.
Oh Julia, my broken heart resonates and appreciates your prophetic voice! So powerful.
As we each discern ways to use our voice and agency, may we lean into the essentials of kindness, compassion, love. Oh how we don't understand, and yet, and yet, and yet ... . May we continue to notice, name, and nurture all that's true, beautiful, good. May we remember the power of truth telling AND of small ripples of kindness, compassion, love. As your voice says, "Mommy, I don't understand" - I'm reminded of Fred Rogers saying that his Mom always told him, when scary things happen, look for the helpers. There are always helpers. Oh helpers, rise up!
Thank you, dear Julia! You are a light and a helper, no doubt.
Kay. I sitting here breathing in your words with so much love & appreciation. Thank you. "May we continue to notice, name, and nurture all that's true, beautiful, good. May we remember the power of truth telling AND of small ripples of kindness, compassion, love." Yes. I love this. Let's keep doing this. I'm so thankful for you and each of the amazingly loving, kind & compassionate women in our WYF community. Thank you, dear Kay.
Not understanding. Not knowing what to do. Not able to imagine the miseries coming next. Not not not…so hard now. Your words here are comfort for me today, dear Julia! Thank you.
Sigh. Yes, Lizzy. I so hear you. It's all deeply concerning. More the reason to take the very best care of ourselves. We need all of the good, loving, big hearted people to be in top condition. We've got work to do. Thank you for reading and leaving your words here. Sending you a whole ton of love. xo
Thank you so much, Julia. This puts beautifully into words so many things that I am feeling these days. So helpful during these strange times. 🙏
