She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly unedited) daily writing practice
Day #128 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing
Wednesday Morning Dance
The quaking aspens are having a dance party with the wind this morning, the sun has joined them, the mountain chickadees too. The lupine and the lazy, gray cat in the neighbor's yard, and the doe munching from low branches and I are quiet observers of this new day dance— I could fall out of my skin with gratitude, so thankful I am to be here, so fully alive.

"The quaking aspens
are having a dance party..."
Oh my goodness, what a breath-giving opening line. Julia, these words just pull my heart right into the poem. And I love this line too: "I could fall out of my skin with gratitude." Oh yes, I know this feeling of gratitude. This whole poem is so, so lovely.
