Isn’t it All Poetry?
She Will Not Be Quiet: A (mostly unedited) daily writing practice
Day #160 of (mostly unedited) daily writing/sharing
Isn’t it All Poetry?
Rather than staying home and writing poetry, I went to the farmer’s market, breathed in the scent of peonies, fresh dill, basil, strawberries. Bought two heads of the greenest green lettuce, cucumber, zucchini, red, orange, and yellow tomatoes. Then, I stopped and bought an iced-drink from a smiling man who spoke of his love for pickleball and good coffee. Fresh produce, blue-skied summer day, kindness. Poetry.

Day 4 Excerpt from my new morning writing practice:
How I want the fire in my belly. How I fear the fire in my belly. What if I get taken over? What if I lose myself in something, never to return to this normalcy that’s so known and uncomfortable and sad?
Fire in the belly. Fire in the belly. Let it grow and grow and grow. Let today be a new beginning, new oxygen invited in. Open to the magic of the day.
Corvallis Farmers Market!
Blue-skied summer day, kindness, poetry, beautiful, thank you.
